Job Hunting while Crisis

State of the world economy on the brink of the current crisis reminded us back in time 10 years ago when many of industrial decline and the employee should lose his job. Although many experts say that the current state of the global crisis did not affect Indonesia in 1998 as the year before, but it is inevitable that some of the sectors concerned will undergo change, at least restructuring.

With the amount of unemployment which has reached 9.43 million people (up to February 2008 based on info from the BPS), it is not impossible that number will grow as the global crisis finally have a major impact on this country.

Nothing wrong with preparing. If later you become one of those people affected by the global economic crisis, here are some tips you can apply to seek other opportunities in the domestic economic climate are not conducive.

1. Determine and write down your specific goals.
Ability to set goals and make plans to achieve them is one of the must-have capability of a professional. Do not forget that you have to make goals and plans in accordance with ability and situation. Write down the target also serves as a reminder of your progress or setbacks experienced.

2. Devote time and energy to implement the plan you have formulated.

Do not shut yourself off from society when you lose your job or are looking for new chances. This is precisely the time to utilize your network to obtain information relating to the employment opportunities you want.

5. Notice the detail when looking for work.
Most likely a lot of people like your job hunt. Notice every detail in order to resume your job application stand out from other resumes. Special tips: make your own cover letter and avoid using a template that many people use, customize each cover letter and your CV with a qualifying company, and follow up each interview by phoning the company concerned.

6. So freelancer
If you have any other skills that generate income, do not hesitate to use it, while still looking for the opportunity you have targeted. Many examples prove that to her part-time work could provide a larger income than the formal sector work.

7. Open to many opportunities

9. Be positive and Optimist
The most important thing when looking for work during the difficult economic circumstances is to maintain a positive attitude and optimistic. Despite sounding cliched, the attitude will make you stay motivated to find the best opportunity for you. Fixed remind yourself that this difficulty, such as other difficulties in life, will eventually pass.
