It's amazing how generous American business can be when it comes to outsourcing their labor. They just give away jobs that hardworking Americans have done for years, to save a few dollars on the cost of production over a period of time. They can send the parts to India, China, or any other country overseas and get labor rates that reflect the level of success of the country, which allows them to then save more money and put more in their pockets. Don't be fooled, because companies aren't outsourcing to help the business. They're doing it to increase their own profits and make more money for themselves.
There is nothing wrong with helping to create jobs in other countries. Especially when you live in a country where jobs are so plentiful, offering a few of them to starving, underdeveloped cultures can never hurt. However, giving them all away leaves your company high and dry, with plenty of people and no incomes to live. Keep giving away jobs, and America will soon be the poster child for poverty and a lack of jobs. Outsourcing is nothing new. It has been around for centuries, and has always allowed for businesses to save money while helping to create jobs. However, it was never intended to completely replace the jobs of people who were already getting things done, and has had a detrimental impact on the economy because of its use in this manner.
In a time when jobs are already scarce, many companies will take one look at the economy and immediately find a way to run their business smarter, faster, or cheaper. All of these three things eventually lead to outsourcing, because someone else, somewhere in the world, is willing to work harder for less money than the American employees. This is great for business because it saves money and helps businesses succeed, but it is terrible for the American citizens who rely on these jobs to live their daily lives in peace and security.
There are some advantages of outsourcing, mostly for businesses in regards to saving money and getting tax breaks. However, this type of labor can put a company in a position where they are unable to innovate and improve their company because they have to deal with the third party which is handling all of the operations. It's not the most popular topic in the world, but it's something that people need to understand a little bit about. When a company sends jobs to China or India, they really cut costs in half or more than half by doing so. As such, it can save many companies from financial turmoil. However, it can also ruin the lives of many hardworking Americans.
